Environmental monitoring module — record, document, monitor
- Land areas and pools
- Alert thresholds per zone
- Offline data entry
Your animals' living conditions, recorded on site
The air temperature in a greenhouse, the humidity of a vivarium, the pH or dissolved oxygen of a pool: these parameters are part of the animals' living conditions, and they are measured on site.
Animal Welfare Monitor lets you enter each reading at the time of measurement, from a phone or tablet. The reading is dated, linked to the zone and to the person who entered it, then shared with the team and available on the web.
As readings accumulate, each parameter builds up a history per zone, which lets you follow variations over a day as well as over a year.
A set of parameters for each type of zone
Each enclosure zone has a type, land area or pool, and the app offers the parameters that correspond to it:
- Land areas
Air temperature, relative humidity, CO₂, ammonia (NH₃), light level, UV radiation, noise and fine particles (PM2.5).
- Pools
Water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, turbidity, nitrates, ammonium and water level.
- Custom parameters
Parameters specific to your facility (e.g. litter depth, cleanliness from 1 to 5, date the pool was last drained) are entered in the same place.
- A note and a photo
Add context (e.g. “measurement taken after cleaning”) and attach a photo of the water, a substrate or a device's screen.
- Offline data entry
Without a network, the reading is saved on the device and sent once the connection is back.
Follow trends, spot values outside thresholds
Each parameter keeps the history of its readings, which can be viewed in the app:
- Charts by period
One week, one month, one quarter, one year, two years or five years, with the thresholds drawn on the curve, the current value, and the mean, minimum and maximum for the period.
- Alert thresholds per zone
Set a minimum value, a maximum value or both, for each numerical parameter and each zone.
- Values outside thresholds flagged
A reading outside the thresholds stands out on the parameter's card and in the history.
- The details of each reading
Date, time, author, note and photo remain available.
The same readings, configured and analysed on the web
Readings entered in the field are shared with the web version, where monitoring is prepared and the data is analysed:
- Enclosure configuration
Type of each zone, parameters monitored, display order and alert thresholds.
- Custom parameters
Create the parameters specific to your facility: number, scale, choice, yes/no or date.
- Multi-parameter analysis
Cross-reference environmental readings with health parameters and custom parameters, and overlay treatments, enrichments and rapid assessments over the same period.
- CSV export
Export the readings for your reports or your own analyses.

What environmental monitoring changes day to day
Shared readings
Each reading is dated, linked to its zone and its author, and visible to the whole team. No more searching for the latest measurement in several places.
Comparable data
Parameters and their units are defined once for the facility, and thresholds zone by zone: everyone records the same thing, in the same way.
Readable variations
Charts highlight a parameter's variations over the day or the seasons, so you can keep an eye on what is changing.
A record for your reports
Date, author, note and photo accompany each reading. For audits and accreditations, your readings are documented and can be exported from the web version.
