Welfare starts with the environment
The ammonia level in the giraffe building. The water pH in the penguin pool. The temperature in the tropical greenhouse. The light intensity in the vivarium. These parameters are not technical details — they are your animals' living conditions.
Animal Welfare Monitor includes 16 standard environmental parameters — 8 for terrestrial spaces and 8 for aquatic basins. But every facility is unique, which is why you can create your own measurement parameters, with no limits. No code, no development request. You define the name, the measurement type, the unit, the thresholds, the colour, the icon — and it is ready.
Easily record your measurements
Parameters are pre-configured for basins and terrestrial enclosures (e.g. temperature, humidity, CO₂, UV, pH, ammonia) so you can record your measurements easily. Each parameter is instantly recognisable thanks to its dedicated icon, distinct colour, and measurement unit.
You can add an optional note to provide context (for example “measurement taken after cleaning”) and attach a photo to visually document water condition, an instrument reading, or substrate appearance. Each measurement is automatically linked to the enclosure, zone, and keeper who entered it, ensuring complete traceability with no extra effort.

You are not limited to the standard parameters: create exactly the measurements you need. Five measurement types cover every scenario: Numeric for a value with unit and alert thresholds (such as bedding depth in cm), Scale for a score from 1 to N ideal for qualitative assessments (such as cleanliness from 1 to 5), and Choice for a list of custom options (such as vegetation condition).
You also have the Yes/No type for simple binary measurements (for example, checking whether the heating system is active), and the Date/Time type to timestamp a specific event (such as the last basin drain). For each parameter, you choose a colour and icon from over 40 options, keeping your dashboard readable and personalised.
Know immediately when a parameter goes out of range
For each numeric parameter, you set minimum and maximum alert thresholds. As soon as a measurement exceeds the expected range, a visual alert appears instantly on the parameter card. These thresholds are defined per zone within each enclosure, because the acceptable temperature inside the gorilla indoor house is not the same as in their outdoor space.
Historical charts let you visualise a parameter's evolution over different periods — 24 hours, 7 days, 30 days, 3 months, 6 months, and 1 year — with threshold lines displayed as overlays on the curves. A statistics panel automatically calculates the minimum, maximum, average, and measurement count, giving you the key figures without any manual computation.
